Aims and Activity
Since 2009, FALIE has been kept afloat by a small group of volunteers. Get involved, become a member to support our not-for-profit organisation and perhaps join one of our teams in preserving FALIE or help on an Open Day. No contribution you can make is too small.
Historic Ketch Falie Inc and FALIE Volunteers have organised open days for the general public, established a museum below deck, collected and digitized records and pictures of FALIE and have commissioned educational resources – to promote and to educate the younger generation on the significance of our State’s maritime history.
The objects of Historic Ketch Falie Inc are:
- To preserve the Ketch Falie through voluntary labour and grants
- To promote Falie’s maritime history as part of the Port Adelaide’s maritime, tourism and cultural heritage
- To advocate for the security of Port Adelaide’s maritime heritage assets.
- To engage our community in the maritime legacy of Port Adelaide.
- To raise awareness about the maritime history of South Australia
