Pirate School

Set sail with Historic Ketch Falie Inc Pirate School for a fun, hands-on “Learn to Tie Knots & Make a Knot Board” workshop these SA school holidays. In this interactive session, young recruits will discover how sailors once relied on practical rope-work every day at sea while learning essential knot-tying skills step by step in a relaxed and supportive environment. Perfect for 7-12 Year Olds

Participants will practice a selection of simple, useful knots before creating their own take-home knot board — a lasting reminder of their experience. Along the way, they’ll hear engaging stories from life at sea and learn how these important skills were used aboard traditional working vessels.
